  • Candidate has to attempt FIVE questions in all.
  • Question Nos. 1 and 5 are compulsory and out of the remaining, THREE are to be attempted choosing at least ONE question from each Section.
  • The number of marks carried by a question/part is indicated against it.
  • Answers must be written in URDU (Urdu script).
  • Word limit in questions, wherever specified, should be adhered to.
  • Attempts of questions shall be counted in sequential order.
  • Unless struck off, attempt of a question shall be counted even if attempted partly.
  • Any page or portion of the page left blank in the Question-cum-Answer Booklet must be clearly struck off.

Q1. حب ذیل سوالوں کے جواب لکھئے۔ ہر سوال کا جواب تقریباً ایک سو پچاس (150)الفاظ پر مشتل ہونا جاہئے :

(a) لسانی اعتبار سے قدیم ہند آریائی زبانوں کی تقسیم کی بنیادیں کیا ہیں؟ اس کے ارتقائی مراحل یہ مثالیں دے کر اظہار خیال کیچئے۔

(b) عہدِ وسطٰی کی ہند آریائی زبانوں کی درجہ بندی ﷺ۔ اہم زبانوں کی نشاندہی کرتے ہوئے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار مثالوں کے ساتھ کیجئے۔

(c) جدید ہند آریائی زبانوں میں صوتیاتی اختلافات کا جغرافیائی نظریئے سے مثالیں دے کر وضاحت کیجئے۔

(d) اردو حروف منجی کے ارتقائی مراحل اور موجودہ دور میں مروجہ درجہ بندی بیان ﷺ۔

(e) جدید ہند آریائی زبانوں کی درجہ بندی کرتے ہوئے اس کے تہذیبی پہلوؤں پر روشی ڈالئے۔

(a) روفیسر اختشام حسین نے جان بیم کی کتاب’’ ہندوستانی لسانیات‘‘ کا خاکہ کا ترجمہ کرتے ہوئے کن ارتقائی پہلوؤں پر زور دیا ہے؟ اظہار خیال کیجئے۔

(b) شمالی ہند میں مردجہ بولیاں اور اردو کے آپسی رشتوں اور اردو ارتقاء و فروغ میں ان کے اثرات پر مفصل بحث مثالوں کے ساتھ کیجئے۔

(c) اردو زبان کے ارتقائی مراحل پر مختلف نظریات ہاکھھوس مسعود حسین خان اور شوکت سنرواری سے آپ کہاں تک مثقق ہیں اور کیوں؟ بحث میچئے۔
