  • There are EIGHT questions divided in TWO SECTIONS and printed both in HINDI and in ENGLISH.
  • Candidate has to attempt FIVE questions in all.
  • Question Nos. 1 and 5 are compulsory and out of the remaining, THREE are to be attempted choosing at least ONE question from each section.
  • The number of marks carried by a question/part is indicated against it.
  • Answers must be written in the medium authorized in the Admission Certificate which must be stated clearly on the cover of this Question-cum-Answer (QCA) Booklet in the space provided.
  • No marks will be given for answers written in a medium other than the authorized one.
  • Word limit in questions, wherever specified, should be adhered to and if answered in much longer or shorter than the prescribed length, marks may be deducted.
  • Graphs/illustrations, wherever required, may be drawn/given in the space provided for answering the question itself.
  • Attempts of questions shall be counted in sequential order.
  • Unless struck off, attempt of a question shall be counted even if attempted partly.

Q1. निम्नलिखित प्रत्येक प्रश्न का उत्तर लगभग 150 शब्दों में दीजिए।
Answer the following questions in about 150 words each.

(a) भारत के 73 वें एवं 74 वें सांविधानिक संशोधनों की मुख्य विशेषताओं का वर्णन कीजिए एवं इन्हें लागू करने के प्रभावों का विस्तृत उल्लेख कीजिए।
Explain the salient features of 73rd and 74th Constitutional Amendments in India and elaborate the impact of its implementation.

(b) क्या आप इस विचार से सहमत हैं कि हरित क्रान्ति के फलस्वरूप कृषि उत्पादन में हुई वृद्धि अल्पकालिक थी ? कारणों सहित उत्तर दीजिए ।
Do you agree with the view that an increase in the productivity of agriculture as a result of Green Revolution was only short-term? Give reasons.

(c) भारत में मिश्रित अर्थव्यवस्था मॉडल अपनाने के आर्थिक तथा गैर आर्थिक तर्काधार क्या थे ?
What were the economic and non-economic rationale for adopting mixed-economy model in India?

(d) भारत की द्वितीय पंचवर्षीय योजना की मूलभूत विशेषताओं की विवेचना कीजिए ।
Discuss the basic features of the IInd five year plan in India.

(e) ब्रिटिश राज्य के कार्य काल में व्यापार नीति के असंगत संरक्षण के आर्थिक परिणाम क्या थे ? उल्लेख कीजिए ।
What were the economic consequences of discriminating protection in the trade policy during British Regime?

(a) स्वतन्त्रता से पूर्व की प्रचलित निर्माण परिस्थितियों का वर्णन कीजिए । क्या आप समझते हैं कि निजी क्षेत्र निवेश हेतु इसलिए नहीं आगे आ पाये क्यों कि उन्हें राष्ट्रीयकरण का भय था ? कारण सहित समझाइये ।
Discuss the manufacturing condition prevailed during pre-independence period. Do you feel that private sector did not come forward for investment due to fear of Nationalisation ? Give reasons.

(b) स्वतन्त्रता के पूर्व काल में होने वाली कृषि एवं ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था से संबद्ध परिस्थितियों का आलोचनात्मक मूल्यांकन कीजिए ।
Critically examine condition of Agriculture and rural economy during the pre- independence era.

(c) विकास से संबद्ध सी.एन. वकील एवं पी.आर. ब्रह्मानन्द द्वारा प्रस्तावित 'मजदूरी-माल' मॉडल का वर्णन कीजिए ।
