Instructions

  • There are EIGHT questions divided in two Sections and printed both in HINDI and in ENGLISH.
  • Candidate has to attempt FIVE questions in all.
  • Question Nos. 1 and 5 are compulsory and out of the remaining, THREE are to be attempted choosing at least ONE question from each Section.
  • The number of marks carried by a question/part is indicated against it.
  • Answers must be written in the medium authorized in the Admission Certificate which must be stated clearly on the cover of this Question-cum-Answer (QCA) Booklet in the space provided.
  • No marks will be given for answers written in a medium other than the authorized one.
  • Word limit in questions, wherever specified, should be adhered to.
  • Attempts of questions shall be counted in sequential order.
  • Unless struck off, attempt of a question shall be counted even if attempted partly.
  • Any page or portion of the page left blank in the Question-cum-Answer Booklet must be clearly struck off.

Q1. निम्नलिखित में से प्रत्येक का लगभग 150 शब्दों में संक्षिप्त उत्तर दीजिए : Write short answers to the following in about 150 words each :

(a) क्या ह्यूम के लिए इन दो सत्यों-'कल सूर्योदय होगा' एवं '2+2=4' में समान अनिवार्यता है? अपने उत्तर के पक्ष में तर्क दीजिए।
Are the two truths-'The Sun will rise tomorrow' and '2+2=4' of the same necessity for Hume? Give reasons in favour of your answer.

(b) लाइबनिज़ जब 'पूर्व-स्थापित सामञ्जस्य' की बात करता है, तब उसके दर्शन में स्वतन्त्रता के लिए कोई स्थान है क्या? विवेचन कीजिए।
Is there any place for freedom in Leibniz's philosophy, when he speaks of 'pre-established harmony'? Discuss.

(c) 'भाषा एक खेल है' इसके अनुमोदन में 'कुल-साम्य' की संकल्पना विट्गेन्स्टाइन की कैसे सहायता करती है? विवेचन कीजिए।
How does the notion of 'family resemblance' help Wittgenstein to uphold that 'Language is a game'? Discuss.

(d) सार्व अप्रामाणिकता का आत्मप्रवधना से कैसे सम्बन्ध स्थापित करता है? सार्व यह क्यों दर्शाते हैं कि अप्रामाणिकता एवं आत्मप्रवश्चना विसम्बन्धन की ओर ले जाते हैं? विवेचन कीजिए।

What is the reason for the difference in the definitions and classifications of substances made by Descartes, Spinoza and Leibniz in spite of the fact that they all belonged to the rationalist school of thought? Discuss.

(b) ‘बोध प्रकृति का निर्माण करता है’, कान्ट की इस अभ्युक्ति के महत्त्व की व्याख्या कीजिए। इस बात से आप कहाँ तक सहमत हैं कि हेगेल का निरपेक्षवाद, कान्ट के द्वैतवाद की पराकाष्ठा है? विवेचन कीजिए। अपने उत्तर के पक्ष में तर्कदीजिए।
Explain the significance of the Kantian dictum, 'Understanding makes Nature'. How far do you agree that Hegel's Absolutism is the culmination of the Kantian Dualism? Discuss. Give reasons in favour of your answer.
