Q1. निम्नलिखित प्रश्नों में से प्रत्येक का उत्तर लगभग 150 शब्दों में दीजिए : Answer the following questions in about 150 words each :

(a) मेंडल के 'स्वतंत्र अपव्यूहन' के नियम का उपयुक्त उदाहरण सहित विस्तार से वर्णन कीजिए। (u) Elaborate Mendel's law of 'independent assortment' by giving suitable example.

(b) 'शुद्ध वंशक्रमों' को उनके अभिलक्षणों के साथ परिभाषित कीजिए। फसल सुधार के लिए इनका उपयोग कैसे किया जाता है? (b) Define 'pure lines' along with their characteristics. How are they used in crop improvement?

(c) बौद्धिक संपदा अधिकार की व्याख्या कीजिए। कृषि के संबंध में आइ० पी० आर० की वर्तमान स्थिति को स्पष्ट कीजिए। (c) Explain Intellectual Property Rights. Give the present status of IPR in relation to agriculture.

(d) लवणों के अवशोषण की क्रियाविधि को स्पष्ट कीजिए। पादपों में पोटैशियम, कैल्सियम और लोह की अपर्याप्तता के लक्षणों का वर्णन कीजिए। (d) Explain the mechanism of absorption of salts. Give potassium, calcium and iron deficiency symptoms in plants.

(e) संकर बीज उत्पादन में उपयोग किए जाने वाले बंध्यता तंत्रों की विवेचना कीजिए। संक्षेप में रसायन द्वारा प्रेरित नर बंध्यता का उल्लेख कीजिए। (e) Discuss sterility systems used in hybrid seed production. Briefly mention chemically induced male sterility.
