  • 2021 0.8 - 3 - 3 PHYSICS भौतिकी Time : 3 hours ] Maximum Marks : 200 समय : 3 घंटे | | अधिकतम अंक : 200 Instructions (निर्देश): This paper is divided into two Sections, Section-A and Section-B. (i) ये प्रश्नपत्र दो खंडों में विभाजित है, खंड-A और खंड-B I Each Section contains eight questions. (ii) प्रत्येक खंड में आठ प्रश्न हैं। A candidate has to attempt twelve questions. (iii) एक परीक्षार्थी को बारह प्रश्नों का उत्तर लिखना है। Question Nos. 1 and 9 are compulsory and out of the remaining, any (iv) ten are to be attempted choosing five from each Section. प्रश्न संख्या 1 और 9 अनिवार्य हैं और शेष प्रश्नों में से किन्हीं दस का उत्तर लिखना है, प्रत्येक खंड से पाँच-पाँच प्रश्नों को हल करना है।

(a) Deduce the number of resonator between frequency range v and v + dv. (Assume the walls of cubic enclosure is perfectly reflecting.)

(b) An xyz coordinate system is rotating with respect to an x'y'z' coordinate system having the same origin and assumed to be fixed in space. The position vector of a particle at time t as observed in the xyz system is given by r = (t2 + 1) î - 6t ĵ + 4t3 k̂. Calculate Coriolis and centripetal acceleration.

(c) A point charge q of mass m is kept at a distance d below a grounded infinite conducting sheet which lies in the x-y plane. What is the value of d for which the charge remains stationary?

(d) A plane monochromatic light wave falls normally on a diaphragm with two narrow slits separated by a distance d = 2.5 mm. A fringe pattern is formed on a screen placed at a distance of 100 cm behind the diaphragm. By what distance and in which direction will these fringes be displaced when one of the slits is covered by a glass plate of thickness 10 μm?
