  • This paper is divided into two Sections, Section-A and Section-B. ये प्रश्नपत्र दो खंडों में विभाजित है, खंड-A और खंड-B
  • Each Section contains four (4) questions. प्रत्येक खंड में चार प्रश्न है।
  • Candidate has to attempt five questions in all. परीक्षार्थी को पांच प्रश्नों का उत्तर लिखना है।

() A point charge q is situated at a position r from the centre of a grounded conducting sphere of radius R (r > R). Determine the potential at any point outside the sphere.

() A resistance R and a capacitor C are connected in series with an ideal cell of emf E at t = 0. Calculate the energy supplied by the cell and the energy loss in the circuit in a time equal to two time constants.

() समय t = 0 पर एक प्रतिरोध R तथा संधारित्र C विद्युत वाहक़ बल E के एक आदर्श सेल केसाथ श्रेणीक्रम मेंजोड़ते है। दो कालांक के तुल्य समय मेंसैल द्वारा प्रदत्त ऊर्जा तथा परिपथ में ऊर्जा हानि की गणना करो।

() A damped oscillator starts oscillating with amplitude of 40 cm. After 100 oscillations, its amplitude becomes 4 cm. If the time period of each oscillation is 2.3 sec, find its relaxation time and the damping coefficient.

() एक अवमंदित दोलक 40 सेमी आयाम के दोलन प्रारंभ करता है। 100 दोलन के पश्वात् इसका आयाम 4 सेमी हो जाताहै। यदि प्रत्येक दोलन का दोलन काल 2.3 सेकंड हो, तो इसका विश्रांति काल तथा अवमंदन गुणांक ज्ञात करो।

() Discuss the boundary conditions for electric field E and electric displacement D at the interface of two homogeneous dielectric media. Prove that the electric field lines at the interface change according to ε1 cot θ1 = ε2 cot θ2, where θ1 and θ2 are the angles of the electric field directions from the common normal and ε1 and ε2 are the relative permittivities of the two media.
