(a) جب ایک کاشت کار کھیتوں میں کام کرتا ہے تو وہ صنعتوں کے لیے اناج اور خام مال تیار کرتا ہے۔ کپاس کے کپڑے کے کار خانے اور پاورلوم میں لباس کی شکل اختیا کرلیتاہے۔گاڑیاں سامان کوایک جگہ سے دوسر کی جگہ پہنچاتی ہیں۔ہم جانتے ہیں کہ کسی بھی ملک میں ایک سال میں ہونے والی اشیاء کی پیداوار اور خدمات پر عائد کل لاگت اس کی جملہ گھریلومصنوعات کہلاتی ہے۔ہم برآمدے لیے قیمت وصول اور درآمدے لیے قیمت ادا کرتے ہیں۔اس میں ہم دیکھتے ہیں کہ خالص آمدنی مثبت اور منفی یا صفر بھی ہوسکتی ہے۔جب ہم وصول آمدنی کااضافہ کرتے ہیں تب ہمیں اُس سال کے لیے ملک کی جملہ گھریلو مصنوعات سے متعلق اطلاع حاصل ہوتی ہے۔ ہم تمام ان عملیات کو جو چملہ گھریلومصنوعات میں موثر ہو تی ہیں ان کو ہم اقتصادی عملیات کہتے ہیں۔ تمام وہ افراد جوا قتصاد ی عملیات میں مشغول ہوتے ہیں، کار کنان کہلاتے ہیں خواہ وہ کسی بھی سطح پر کام کر رہے ہوں اعلٰی یااد ٹی ۔ا گران میں سے کوئی وقتی طور پر جسمانی مثکلات ،چیسے بیماری،چوٹ،خراب موسم، تہوار یا ساجی و مذہبی جشن وغیر ہ کے سبب کام کرنے میں معذور ہوتا ہے، تب بھی وہ کار کن ہی کہلاتا ہے ۔اور وہ افراد جو کاموں میں مشغول اصل کار کنان کی مدد کرتے ہیں بھی
