  • There are EIGHT questions divided in Two Sections and printed both in HINDI and in ENGLISH.
  • Candidate has to attempt FIVE questions in all.
  • Question Nos. 1 and 5 are compulsory and out of the remaining, THREE are to be attempted choosing at least ONE question from each Section.
  • The number of marks carried by a question/part is indicated against it.
  • Answers must be written in the medium authorized in the Admission Certificate which must be stated clearly on the cover of this Question-cum-Answer (QCA) Booklet in the space provided.
  • No marks will be given for answers written in medium other than the authorized one.
  • Word limit in questions, wherever specified, should be adhered to.
  • Attempts of questions shall be counted in sequential order.
  • Unless struck off, attempt of a question shall be counted even if attempted partly.
  • Any page or portion of the page left blank in the Question-cum-Answer Booklet must be clearly struck off.

Write short answers to the following in about 150 words each :

(a) हेगेल के इस कथन की व्याख्या कीजिए : “समस्त अभेद, अभेदाभेद है ।”
Elaborate Hegel's dictum : "All identity is identity and difference."

(b) संवृत्तिशास्त्रीय अपचयवाद के समर्थन में हुसर्ल की तर्कबुद्धि की व्याख्या कीजिए ।
Explain Husserl's reasons for advocating phenomenological reductionism.

(c) ‘मैं एक मनुष्य से मिला’ यह कथन कैसे रसेल के लिये शब्दार्थक दृष्टि से समस्यापरक है ? रसेल इस कथन की सार्थकता का विवरण कैसे देते हैं ?
How is the statement, 'I met a man', semantically problematic for Russell ? How does he account for the meaningfulness of this statement?

(d) किस अर्थ में प्रत्यय अंतर्यामी और इंद्रियातीत दोनों ही हो सकते हैं ? इस सन्दर्भ में प्लेटो के सामान्य और विशेषों के सिद्धान्त की विवेचना कीजिए ।
In what sense can ideas be both immanent and transcendent? Discuss in this context Plato's theory of universals and particulars.

(e) कैसे ह्यूम के अनुभव का विश्लेषण किसी स्थायी सत, चाहे वह भौतिक हो या मानसिक, में विश्वास के लिए कोई आधार नहीं छोड़ता है ।
Show how Hume's analysis of experience leaves no ground for belief in any permanent reality either physical or mental.
