Q2. Q2(a). A disc with a moment of inertia J=0.5 kg-m2 is attached to one end of a shaft whose other end is fixed. The length and diameter of the shaft are 310 mm and 32 mm respectively. If the shear modulus of the shaft material is G = 8.2 x 104 MPa, determine the maximum shear stress developed in the shaft when the disc is subjected to a torque [20] 290 cos 315t N-m, where t is the time.
