  • There are EIGHT questions divided in Two Sections and printed both in HINDI and in ENGLISH.
  • Candidate has to attempt FIVE questions in all.

Q1.

(a) एक अच्छी तरह से ऊष्मारोधी दृढ़ टैंक दो समान भागों में विभाजित हुआ है। प्रारंभ में एक भाग में 4 kg आदर्श गैस 800 kPa और 50°C पर है, जबकि दूसरा भाग निर्वातित है। अब बीच का विभाजन हटा दिया जाता है और गैस पूरे टैंक में फैल जाती है। टैंक में अंतिम तापमान और दाब का निर्धारण कीजिए ।
An insulated rigid tank is divided into two equal parts by a partition. Initially, one part contains 4 kg of an ideal gas at 800 kPa and 50°C, while the other part is evacuated. The partition is now removed and the gas expands into the entire tank. Determine the final temperature and pressure in the tank.

(b) संतृप्त वाष्प सम्पीडन प्रशीतन चक्र के सभी प्रक्रमों को p-v, t-s और p-h आरेख पर दर्शायें और t-s आरेख पर प्रशीतन प्रभाव, संघनित्र से निष्कासित ऊष्मा और संपीडक कार्य को दर्शायें।
Show processes of saturated vapour compression refrigeration cycle on p-v, t-s and p-h diagram and mark graphically on t-s diagram refrigerating effect, heat rejection by condenser and compressor work.

(c) विकिरणीय ऊष्मा विनिमय के सम्बंध में आकृति गुणांक शेप फेक्टर क्या होता है ? चार आधारिक आकृति गुणांक नियमों का विवेचन कीजिए ।
What is the shape factor in case of radiative heat exchange? Discuss the four (4) basic shape factor laws.

(d) 4-आघात द्रुतक्रिय और निम्नक्रिय एस.आई. अंतर्दहन इंजन वाल्व काल समंजन आरेख बनाइए।
Draw valve timing diagrams of 4-stroke high speed and low speed SI internal combustion engine.

(a) एक गैस टरबाईन के सम्पीडक (कम्प्रेसर) और टरबाईन की दक्षताएँ क्रमशः 70% और 71% हैं । दहन कक्ष में प्रति किलो हवा में 476.35 kJ/kg ऊष्मा प्रदान की गई है। एक उचित दाब अनुपात ढूंढें, ताकि कार्य का अनुपात 0.054 रहे। इसके साथ संगत तापमान अनुपात को भी निकालें। प्रवेश वायु का कुल तापमान 300 K है।
The efficiencies of the compressor and turbine of a gas turbine are 70% and 71%, respectively. The heat added in the combustion chamber per kg of air is 476.35 kJ/kg. Find a suitable pressure ratio such that the work ratio is 0.054. Also find the corresponding temperature ratio. The inlet total temperature of air is 300 K.
