  • There are EIGHT questions divided in TWO SECTIONS and printed both in HINDI and in ENGLISH.
  • Candidate has to attempt FIVE questions in all.
  • Questions no. 1 and 5 are compulsory and out of the remaining, any THREE are to be attempted choosing at least ONE question from each section.
  • The number of marks carried by a question [ part is indicated against it.
  • Answers must be written in the medium authorized in the Admission Certificate which must be stated clearly on the cover of this Question-cum-Answer (QCA) Booklet in the space provided.

(a) एक 5 m लम्बी रस्सी ACB, 3 m की दूरी पर स्थित दो खड़ी दीवारों के A एवं B बिन्दुओं पर संलग्न है (चित्र 1) । 200 N भार एक नगण्य त्रिज्या वाली घिरनी पर निलंबित है तथा रस्सी के साथ बिना घर्षण के लुढ़कने हेतु स्वतंत्र है। संतुलन की अवस्था में घिरनी द्वारा ग्रहण की गई दूरी X तथा रस्सी में उत्पन्न तनाव बल भी ज्ञात कीजिए ।
A cord ACB, 5 m long is attached at points A and B to the vertical walls, 3 m apart (Figure 1). A pulley of negligible radius carries a suspended load of 200 N and is free to roll without friction along the cord. Determine the position of equilibrium as defined by the distance X, that the pulley will assume and also the tensile force in the cord.
