  • There are EIGHT questions divided in TWO SECTIONS and printed both in HINDI and in ENGLISH.
  • Candidate has to attempt FIVE questions in all.
  • Questions no. 1 and 5 are compulsory and out of the remaining, any THREE are to be attempted choosing at least ONE question from each section.
  • The number of marks carried by a question / part is indicated against it.
  • Answers must be written in the medium authorized in the Admission Certificate which must be stated clearly on the cover of this Question-cum-Answer (QCA) Booklet in the space provided.
  • No marks will be given for answers written in a medium other than the authorized one.
  • Wherever any assumptions are made for answering a question, they must be clearly indicated.
  • Diagrams/Figures, wherever required, shall be drawn in the space provided for answering the question itself.

(a) एक प्रास (कैन्टीलीवर) धरन ऊर्ध्वाधर तल में एक वृत्त के एक-चौथाई भाग के रूप में है जैसा कि नीचे चित्र में दिखाया गया है और इसके मुक्त सिरे पर ऊर्ध्वाधर भार P लगा है । मुक्त सिरे पर ऊर्ध्वाधर और क्षैतिज विस्थापन ज्ञात कीजिए, यदि आनमनी दृढ़ता प्रास (कैन्टीलीवर) धरन की पूरी लम्बाई में समान है।
A cantilever beam is in the form of a quarter of a circle in vertical plane and is subjected to a vertical load P at its free end as shown in the figure below. Find the vertical and horizontal displacements at the free end, if flexural rigidity is same throughout the length of cantilever.

(b) प्रबलित सीमेंट कंक्रीट (आर.सी.सी.) संरचनाओं की सीमांत अवस्था अभिकल्पना के लिए कोड की अनुशंसाओं के अनुसार आनमन में कंक्रीट, मृदु इस्पात एवं एच.वाई.एस.डी. (HYSD) इस्पात के लिए अभिलक्षणिक प्रतिबल-विकृति वक्र सभी प्रासंगिक मानों को दर्शाते हुए बनाइए ।
Draw characteristic stress-strain curve for concrete, mild steel and HYSD steel in flexure giving all relevant values as per codal recommendations for limit state design of RCC structures.
