This document contains the Geology paper for the Maharashtra Forest Service Main Examination 2024. The paper totals 200 marks and is conducted over three hours in English. Eight questions are present, with Q1 and Q5 as compulsory. Page 2 provides Section A content with descriptive questions (Q1–Q4). Q1 asks for five short notes from seven topics, including GIS applications, fault classifications, earthquake-resistant structures, Petrography/Petrogenesis of granite, retrograde metamorphism, evolutionary trends in Humidae, and the Cambrian-Precambrian boundary problem. Q2 covers folds and aerial photointerpretation elements. Q3 deals with petrogenetic textures of igneous rocks, metamorphism, and tunneling site investigations. Q4 discusses Cephalopoda morphology, Stratigraphy and its units, and geomorphic theories of landform development. Topics span GIS, metamorphism, stratigraphy, geomorphology, photointerpretation, tunneling geology, and fossil/biological stratigraphy relevant to the Maharashtra Forest Service Geology syllabus.
