  • इसमें आठ प्रश्न हैं जो दो खण्डों में विभाजित हैं तथा हिन्दी एवं अंग्रेजी दोनों में छपे हैं।
  • परीक्षार्थी को कुल पाँच प्रश्नों के उत्तर देने हैं।
  • प्रश्न संख्या 1 और 5 अनिवार्य हैं तथा बाकी प्रश्नों में से प्रत्येक खण्ड से कम-से-कम एक प्रश्न चुनकर तीन प्रश्नों के उत्तर दें।
  • प्रत्येक प्रश्न/भाग के लिए नियत अंक उसके सामने दिए गए हैं।
  • प्रश्नों के उत्तर उसी प्राधिकृत माध्यम में लिखे जाने चाहिए, जिसका उल्लेख आपके प्रवेश-पत्र में किया गया है, और इस माध्यम का स्पष्ट उल्लेख प्रश्न-सह-उत्तर (क्यू॰ सी॰ ए॰) पुस्तिका के मुखपृष्ठ पर निर्दिष्ट स्थान पर किया जाना चाहिए।
  • उल्लिखित माध्यम के अतिरिक्त अन्य किसी माध्यम में लिखे गए उत्तर पर कोई अंक नहीं मिलेंगे।
  • यदि आवश्यक हो, तो उपयुक्त आँकड़ों का चयन करें तथा उनको निर्दिष्ट करें।

  • There are EIGHT questions divided in two Sections and printed both in HINDI and in ENGLISH.
  • Candidate has to attempt FIVE questions in all.
  • Question Nos. 1 and 5 are compulsory and out of the remaining, THREE are to be attempted choosing at least ONE question from each Section.
  • The number of marks carried by each question/part is indicated against it.
  • Answers must be written in the medium authorized in the Admission Certificate which must be stated clearly on the cover of this Question-cum-Answer (QCA) Booklet in the space provided.
  • No marks will be given for answers written in a medium other than the authorized one.
  • Assume suitable data, if considered necessary, and indicate the same clearly.
  • Unless and otherwise indicated, symbols and notations carry their usual standard meanings.
  • Attempts of questions shall be counted in sequential order.
  • Unless struck off, attempt of a question shall be counted even if attempted partly.
  • Any page or portion of the page left blank in the Question-cum-Answer Booklet must be clearly struck off.

(a) त्रिज्या r की एक वृत्तीय कक्षा में, द्रव्यमान m के एक उपग्रह के कोणीय संवेग को गतिज, स्थितिज और कुल ऊर्जा के रूप में व्यक्त कीजिए।

Express angular momentum in terms of kinetic, potential and total energy of a satellite of mass m in a circular orbit of radius r.

(b) माइकेल्सन-मोरले प्रयोग का वर्णन कीजिए और दर्शाइए कि इस प्रयोग से प्राप्त ऋणात्मक परिणामों का किस प्रकार निर्वचन किया गया था।

Describe Michelson-Morley experiment and show how the negative results obtained from this experiment were interpreted.

(c) एक शांत झील से सूर्य का प्रकाश परावर्तित होता है। किसी क्षण, परावर्तित प्रकाश 100% ध्रुवीकृत हो जाता है। सूर्य एवं क्षितिज के बीच का कोण ज्ञात कीजिए।

Sunlight is reflected from a calm lake. The reflected light is 100% polarized at a certain instant. What is the angle between the sun and horizon?

(d) ‘तरंगाग्र का विभाजन’ और ‘आयाम का विभाजन’ के कारण होने वाले व्यतिकरणों को समुचित उदाहरण द्वारा समझाइए।

Explain with proper example the interferences due to 'division of wavefront' and 'division of amplitude'.

(e) एक ऐसी गैस में ध्वनि के वेग को ज्ञात कीजिए, जिसमें तरंगदैर्घ्य 1.00 m और 1.01 m की दो तरंगें 3 सेकण्ड में 10 विस्पन्द पैदा करती हैं।

Find the velocity of sound in a gas in which two waves of wavelengths 1.00 m and 1.01 m produce 10 beats in 3 seconds.
