  • There are EIGHT questions divided in TWO SECTIONS and printed both in HINDI and in ENGLISH.
  • Candidate has to attempt FIVE questions in all.
  • Questions no. 1 and 5 are compulsory and out of the remaining, any THREE are to be attempted choosing at least ONE question from each section.
  • The number of marks carried by a question / part is indicated against it.
  • Answers must be written in the medium authorized in the Admission Certificate which must be stated clearly on the cover of this Question-cum-Answer (QCA) Booklet in the space provided.
  • No marks will be given for answers written in a medium other than the authorized one.
  • Word limit in questions, wherever specified, should be adhered to.
  • Assume suitable data, if considered necessary, and indicate the same clearly.
  • Attempts of questions shall be counted in sequential order.
  • Unless struck off, attempt of a question shall be counted even if attempted partly.
  • Any page or portion of the page left blank in the Question-cum-Answer Booklet must be clearly struck off.

Q1. Answer the following questions in about 150 words each :
निम्नलिखित प्रश्नों में से प्रत्येक का उत्तर लगभग 150 शब्दों में दीजिए :

(a) ‘आवश्यकताओं’, ‘अभावों’ और ‘माँगों’ के बीच अन्तर स्पष्ट कीजिए । इनमें से कौन-सा एक (a) विपणन के लिए आरंभिक बिंदु है ? क्या विपणनक आवश्यकताएँ उत्पन्न करते हैं ?

Explain the difference between 'needs', 'wants' and 'demands'. Which one of these is the starting point for marketing ? Do marketers create needs?

(b) “बेहतर चूहेदानी बनाओ, संसार उनके द्वार तक मार्ग निकाल ही लेगा,” यह वक्तव्य किस (b) विपणन प्रबन्धन अभिविन्यास के सार को संप्रेषित करता है ? यह संकल्पना प्रतिस्पर्धी विपणन परिदृश्य में किस कारण सही उपागम नहीं है ?

(c) चतुर विपणनक बाज़ार को इस समझ के साथ प्रवेश करते हैं, कि वे सभी ग्राहकों/खरीदारों (c) को आकर्षित नहीं कर सकते हैं । अतः वे ‘शॉटगन’ उपागम के बजाय ‘राइफल’ उपागम अपनाते हैं । समकालीन कारोबारी परिवेश में इन दोनों उपागमों में कौन-सा अधिक प्रभावी है और क्यों ?
