  • There are EIGHT questions divided in TWO SECTIONS and printed both in HINDI and in ENGLISH.
  • Candidate has to attempt FIVE questions in all.
  • Question Nos. 1 and 5 are compulsory and out of the remaining, THREE are to be attempted choosing at least ONE question from each Section.
  • The number of marks carried by a question/part is indicated against it.
  • Answers must be written in the medium authorized in the Admission Certificate which must be stated clearly on the cover of this Question-cum-Answer (QCA) Booklet in the space provided.
  • No marks will be given for answers written in a medium other than the authorized one.
  • Word limit in questions, wherever specified, should be adhered to.
  • Attempts of questions shall be counted in sequential order.
  • Unless struck off, attempt of a question shall be counted even if attempted partly.
  • Any page or portion of the page left blank in the Question-cum-Answer Booklet must be clearly struck off.

Q1. Answer the following questions in about 150 words each: 10 × 5 = 50 राजनीति सिद्धान्त के अध्ययन के दार्शनिक उपागम को समझाइये । 1.

(a) राजनीति सिद्धान्त के अध्ययन के दार्शनिक उपागम को समझाइये । Explain the Philosophical approach to the study of Political theory.

(b) बह-सांस्कृतिक परिप्रेक्ष्य में समानता तथा उदारवाद के मध्य सम्बन्ध पर टिप्पणी लिखिए । Write a note on the relation between equality and liberty from the multi-cultural perspective.

(c) शक्ति पर मैक्फर्सन के दृष्टिकोण को समझाइये । Explain the Macpherson's view on power.

(d) इतालवी और जर्मन ब्रांड के फासीवाद के बीच अन्तर का उल्लेख कीजिए। Mention the difference between Italian and German brands of facism.

(e) लोकतंत्र के अभिजन सिद्धान्त को संक्षेप में समझाइये। Explain briefly the elite theory of democracy.

Q2. राज्य का मार्क्सवादी एवं उदारवादी परिप्रेक्ष्य क्या है ? दोनों के बीच के सैद्धांतिक अन्तर किन आधारों पर स्थापित हैं ? व्याख्या कीजिए। What is the Marxist and liberal approach towards the state? On what grounds the theoretical differences between them are premised ? Explain.

(a) कार्ल पौपर खुले समाज की अपनी दृश्मनों के खिलाफ एक बचाव प्रस्तुत करते हैं। विस्तार से बताइये । Karl Popper presents a defence of the open society against its enemies. Elaborate.

(b) रॉल्स ने अपनी वितरणात्मक न्याय की अवधारणा के विकास में उदारवादी और समतावादी दृष्टिकोण का किस प्रकार उपयोग किया है ? वर्णन कीजिए । Explain how Rawls used the liberal and egalitarian perspective to develop his concept of distributive justice.
