  • There are EIGHT questions divided in TWO SECTIONS and printed both in HINDI and in ENGLISH.
  • Candidate has to attempt FIVE questions in all.
  • Questions no. 1 and 5 are compulsory and out of the remaining, any THREE are to be attempted choosing at least ONE question from each section.
  • The number of marks carried by a question / part is indicated against it.
  • Answers must be written in the medium authorized in the Admission Certificate which must be stated clearly on the cover of this Question-cum-Answer (QCA) Booklet in the space provided.
  • No marks will be given for answers written in a medium other than the authorized one.
  • Wherever any assumptions are made for answering a question, they must be clearly indicated.
  • Diagrams/Figures, wherever required, shall be drawn in the space provided for answering the question itself.
  • Unless otherwise mentioned, symbols and notations carry their usual standard meanings.
  • Attempts of questions shall be counted in sequential order.

(a) एक कार विराम स्थिति से 6 m/s2 के त्वरण के साथ चलना प्रारंभ करती है जो कि समय के साथ रैखिकत: घटकर 10 सेकण्ड में शून्य हो जाता है, तत्पश्चात् कार स्थिर गति से चलती रहती है । कार का आरंभ से 400 m तक का अपेक्षित यात्रा काल निर्धारित कीजिए ।
A car starts from rest with an acceleration of 6 m/s2 which decreases linearly with time to zero in 10 seconds after which the car continues at a constant speed. Determine the time required for the car to travel 400 m from start.

(b) एक टावर तान तार A पर बोल्ट द्वारा निबंधित है। यदि तार में तनाव का परिमाण 2500 N है, तो बोल्ट पर x, y तथा z दिशाओं में क्रियाशील बल घटकों का निर्धारण कीजिए ।
A tower guy wire is fastened by a bolt at A. If the magnitude of tension in the wire is 2500 N, determine the force components acting on the bolt in the x, y and z directions.
