  • There are EIGHT questions divided in TWO SECTIONS and printed both in HINDI and in ENGLISH Candidate has to attempt FIVE questions in all.
  • Questions no. 1 and 5 are compulsory and out of the remaining, any THREE are to be attempted choosing at least ONE question from each section.
  • The number of marks carried by a question / part is indicated against it.
  • Answers must be written in the medium authorized in the Admission Certificate which must be stated clearly on the cover of this Question-cum-Answer (QCA) Booklet in the space provided.

(a) चित्र 1(a) में दर्शाई गई कुंजी (स्विच) को एक बहुत लम्बी अवधि तक बन्द रखा गया है और इसे समय t = 0 पर खोल दिया जाता है, तो
(i) t < 0 के लिए iL का मान ज्ञात कीजिए ।
(ii) कुंजी (स्विच) के खुलने के तुरन्त बाद iL(0^ + ) का मान ज्ञात कीजिए।
(iii) t > 0 के लिए iL(t) हेतु व्यंजक निर्धारित कीजिए और iL(infty) का मान ज्ञात कीजिए ।

The switch shown in Figure 1(a) has been closed for a very long time and it is opened at time t = 0. Find the value of iL for t < 0.
(i) Just after the switch is opened, find the value of iL(0^ + ).
(ii) Determine the expression for iL(t) for t > 0 and find the value of iL(infty).

(b) सतत-समय वाले संकेत x(t) = t [u(-t + 1) - u(-t - 1)] का t के उचित परास के लिए रेखाचित्र बनाइए, जहाँ u(t) एक इकाई पद फलन है।
Sketch the continuous-time signal x(t) = t [u(-t + 1) - u(-t - 1)] over a suitable range of t, where u(t) is a unit step function.
